This offering is specifically designed for homeschool groups and is ideal for children grades Pre-K - 12th. However, all ages have a blast! No public/private school groups will be combined with your group.
Gather your homeschool crew and join us for a fall field trip designed especially for curious minds and community connection! Our Fall Homeschool Days bring families together from across North Carolina for an immersive orchard experience where agriculture, fall flavors, and hands-on learning come to life.
We’ll kick off our adventure by exploring the world of apples — students will put their senses to work during a guided apple tasting, discovering flavors and textures unique to each variety. Next, we’ll step back in time to experience the age-old tradition of cider making. Watch as apples are transformed through our cider pressing demonstration, then enjoy a fresh sample of this seasonal favorite.
Afterward, relax and take in the beauty of the orchard on a scenic hayride before heading out to gather three pre-picked apples to take home. And because no fall visit is complete without an apple cider slushie, each guest will also enjoy a 4-oz fresh-pressed apple cider slushie.

All tours also include access to Kiddie Korral Playground and Picnic Area. Groups are welcome to enjoy this space before or after their tour.
*All guests over the age of 2 must have a paid ticket. Kids 2 & under are free, but they do not receive the take home of the apples, cider sampling or apple tasting. If you'd like for them to receive the full tour items, please purchase a ticket for them as well.

Explore our pre-ordered picnic boxed lunches, thoughtfully prepared for our weekday tour groups to make your visit even simpler and tastier. Each box features fresh lunch selections crafted in The Cider House kitchen and ready to enjoy upon arrival. Please purchase your lunch order when you purchase your homeschool tickets.
*Guests are also welcome to pack a picnic lunch from home on weekdays.
